Transistion Lenses

Transitions Lenses are modern plastic lenses which change colour and darken when exposed to sunlight and are about half of the weight of the older Glass type of photochromic lenses. The latest version of these very popular lightweight lenses are fast acting and go Quite dark in most sunny conditions. (Although, not as dark as thre Glass type). These lenses are available in Brown, Grey and Green.

They offer full UV protection and come with an anti-scratch coating to make them more durable, at no extra cost.

They can be made up as Single Vision, Bi-focals, or Progresive type lenses, and are suitable for everyday use.

These lenses are the ideal solution for people who want photochromic lenes which are light and durable. The only draw back is that at higher presriptions, these lenses are not as thin as their glass counterparts.
